Optima Cycles and BIKE&CO enter strategic partnership to accelerate growth in Germany

Optima Cycles and BIKE&CO have formed a strategic partnership to accelerate growth in Germany. Effective from 1 August 2026, the brands Lovens, Dolly and Dutch ID will become part of BIKE&CO’s supplier programme for its affiliated independent bicycle retailers.
The partnership is built on a shared vision for the future of the cycling industry: high-quality bicycles, strong brands and long-term partnerships with specialist bicycle retailers.
For Optima Cycles, the partnership marks an important milestone in its continued expansion in Germany. BIKE&CO provides access to a strong network of independent bicycle retailers while supporting both dealers and suppliers through professional services in administration, order processing and centralised operations. For BIKE&CO, Optima Cycles represents a valuable addition to its portfolio, offering a distinctive family of brands in the growing premium e-bike and electric cargo bike segments.
Although BIKE&CO represents a network of more than 900 affiliated bicycle retailers, Optima Cycles will continue to follow its selective dealer strategy. Not every affiliated dealer will automatically be authorised to sell all brands.
This approach protects existing dealer relationships, enables retailers to maintain a distinctive market position, and ensures a consistent premium brand experience and outstanding customer service.
Building a stronger portfolio together
A key element of the partnership is the establishment of a Dutch ID product council. Progressive BIKE&CO dealers will actively contribute to the development of future models and the further optimisation of the Dutch ID product range. This collaborative approach enables both organisations to develop a portfolio that better reflects the needs of both German specialist retailers and consumers.
The partnership will officially kick off during the BIKE&CO Order Festival, taking place from 4 to 6 September in Kassel. Optima Cycles will present its family of brands under the motto:
